Conditions will settle down on Tuesday, with only isolated showers and highs in the upper 70s and low 80s. Wednesday starts off dry, warm, and muggy, before a chance for heavier rain and storms arrive late Wednesday night.
There was brief heavy rainfall, but there weren’t any severe weather reports after a slight risk evening Tuesday. Storms began moving into the KVOE listening area after 8 pm, eventually causing severe thunderstorm warnings for parts of Coffey, Greenwood and Osage counties before leaving the area.
Dense fog early today will give way to potentially severe storms this afternoon and tonight before colder temperatures and a possible rain/snow mix move in.
