On Monday, February 17, 2020, Lee County Emergency Services contacted the Fort Myers Police Department in reference to a combative patient. The patient was being transported from the scene of a crash via ambulance. As the ambulance was in route to an area hospital, the patient became both verbally and physically combative with ambulance paramedics.
